Title: A Bite at the Cherry
Medium: Acrylic on Cradled Birch Wood
Size: 33 x 33 cm / 13x13 inches
The phrase, ‘a bite of the cherry’ is a common expression. It means a second attempt at doing something which you have previously failed to do. In this work the spinifex mouse lays still on a lace doily. It grasps a single cherry, as if saving it for a special moment. The vulnerable creature set against this lace pattern evokes the idea that perhaps we have time to change our treatment of wildlife, a second chance.
Please note the shipping will be calculated after the purchase as it differs depending on your location, weight of the piece or in the event of multiple purchases.
