Inspired by Studio Ghibli’s film “Howl no Ugoku Shiro,” I wanted to reflect the essence of Howl’s castle in this doll.
At its heart, it carries Calcifer, nodding to the character’s spell in the story.
I aimed to capture the intricacy we see inside the castle, filling the doll with details that coexist with more obvious elements,
such as the cape’s pattern or the body covered in black feathers.
The doll itself is a dual representation, it is both Howl and his home in a single entity.
