"Catharsis is depicting a time in my life when I truly decided not to hate myself. I began recovery & healing, for most of my life I've tried to destroy myself through eating disorders and it completely consumed me. I've self sabotaged and spiraled for years, this piece is about the moment I finally felt serenity from accepting my body as is. I'm trying very hard to treat my body "like a temple" hence the religious idol imagery. The only way I could grow was to be at peace with myself."
