Title: The lonely goat impersonator
Size: 8x10"
Medium: Acrylic on stretched canvas
" I read several articles about the origin of shadow puppets. The myth speaks about an emperor who was heartbroken by the death of his favorite concubine. His best advisor, inspired by children playing with the shadows made by their parasols, created a lifelike shadow puppet show of the concubine. The performance revived the emperor's spirits. In an alternate reality, this lonely shadow (hands from the window form the goat shadow) has experienced a similar loss and looks to connect with someone or something."
