"Nausicaa is a movie that I came to appreciate with time as I aged into adulthood.
One thing that I love about Nausicaa is her perseverance. She is not born hopeful instead it is through her compassion, curiosity and research that she is able to understand an environment hostile to humans but that came to be as a direct consequence of humanity's failure and their greed for power.
I wanted to try and capture a moment were she is resting sitting in the toxic jungle after collecting spore samples while appreciating the beauty of a poisoned and dangerous world."
